Irrational Fears and Phobias

When I talk about past life regression – which I do, given half a chance – some people’s eyes glaze over, I can almost see their ears closing. Others, fortunately, are much more open to the idea that a wide range of issues in this life may, in fact, have their root cause in a past life.

Irrational fears and phobias are typical examples – and I have had clients come to me with a whole range of phobias! Common ones include fear of flying, heights, water, crowds, dogs and, of course, spiders. Less common but still not unusual are fear of crossing bridges, any form of surgery or needles, having something around the neck and being alone in the dark.

Usually, people find a way of coping with these fears until such time as they interfere with life so much that something has to be done. I worked with a lady last year who had just become a grandmother, and was overjoyed. Unfortunately, her new grandson was on the other side of the world, and she had a severe fear of flying. If she wanted to see her grandson, she would have to overcome that phobia!
The interesting thing about fear of flying is that there are variations on the theme: for some it is take-off and landing, while for others it is not being in control. For this particular client, it was being in an enclosed space and not being able to get out, a sense of being trapped.

The answer was found, as is so often the case, in a past life. In this instance, it was back in the 1600s when the client was a man in India. His life unfolded as a tale of riches to rags to riches as he lost his rich wife (and her dowry), but managed to marry off his eldest daughter to a wealthy merchant. The  man got caught up in an earthquake in Calcutta, and was trapped under the rubble, unable to get out. He was not found, and died there in the rubble.
The negative emotions were released and healed, and the client came back to full consciousness feeling much lighter.

About a month later I received an email from her, to say that she had taken a short flight  “to make sure it worked” and that she had just returned from that all-important first visit to her grandson on the other side of the world: how lovely is that!

This lady had never done any past life work before, but she was open to the idea, and it certainly worked for her! It could work for you too – if you have an irrational fear or phobia that is holding you back from living life to the full, give me a call on 07597 020 512. Creating new habits, new pathways, with the help of the unconscious

When I work with clients, I put them into a deep state of relaxation, and then I access their unconscious minds. I say to them that it is the part that looks after them, and knows everything about them. Which is true, it is the control centre, if you will, and my task is to trace back the real underlying root cause of an issue and resolve it at source.

Very often, a client comes to me with very set beliefs – “everyone does that, don’t they” or “I’m never going to get better” or “that’s just the way it is”.
Well, actually, no. What we think, becomes our reality, because when we constantly think in a certain way, we are creating a pattern that the unconscious takes as an instruction, and does its best to create whatever it may be. It’s called a neural pathway and, like any pathway, the more you tread it, the more pronounced and ingrained it becomes.
Those of you who drive will understand – when you start driving a car, it seemed impossible to keep your hands on the wheel, then put one hand on the gear stick, have your feet doing different things on the pedals without looking, while keeping your eyes on the road and in the mirror – right?
But eventually it all became totally natural, you didn’t have to think about it.
That’s how habits are formed – it takes around three weeks to re-programme the brain into a new way of doing something (that’s why in the bad old days, cigarette companies would say in their advertisements “give it 21 days”).

The unconscious loves imagery which is why so much of my work with clients who are in that state of relaxation is done through visualisation. I use this technique, for instance, when “fitting” a hypnotic gastric band, or when helping people to give up smoking. I use it when I explore traumas that have impacted on clients in this lifetime. When I am going through the process of what I call “cord cutting” – cutting away negative emotions – I actually use a large pair of scissors. The sound of cutting, combined with the strong suggestion that I am cutting away what is no longer needed, is very powerful for the unconscious.

I use similar visual techniques to help people literally shape a new version of themselves, or to “turn down” the level of nagging pain they may be suffering. Because the unconscious responds to such visual suggestions, it is highly effective.

It is all about creating a new pathway to change the habit, the reality, and sometimes I will do just that. I will set up a roadblock, a fallen tree across the road or a diversion sign so that the client has to take another route – which turns out to be a far better way to go. The unconscious accepts the instruction more readily with the added benefit of the visual aid.

The unconscious really does control our reality – but we have the power to create new pathways, new ways of thinking and, therefore, new ways of being!

ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS

Over all the years I have been working as a therapist, I have come across just about every variation on the theme of “Abusive Relationship”, from children sexually abused by parents and / or other family members to emotional blackmail, verbal abuse and “gaslighting” – where one partner manipulates the other into thinking he / she is going mad.

The two main strands involved in supporting clients who are looking for help in such situations are, first, to get to the real underlying root cause of the issue and, secondly, to encourage the client to re-discover their true self.

Those who have been sexually abused from an early age (and I have known this go on even into adulthood) carry a heavy burden that could typically include shame and embarrassment; anger, rage and hatred; a sense of betrayal, loss of trust and confusion about right and wrong. All of these create a potent cocktail that frequently shows up in the adult as feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem; inability to cultivate healthy relationships and / or appropriate sexual boundaries; a “self-destruct” button and / or self harming.
Different therapists will approach this scenario in their own ways – just one reason why it is important to find a therapist that you are comfortable with before embarking on this healing process.
My approach is typically guide a client through what I call “soul retrieval” – the client’s unconscious will tell me in which years of this life there have been trauma or events that need to be healed. With the client in a deep state of relaxation, and using powerful visualisation techniques, we go back to each year indicated in turn, not to re-live the trauma but to release the negative emotions. My question is never “what happened?” (which triggers the conscious mind) but rather “how is he / she feeling?” which keeps it in the unconscious emotional level. This can be a hugely emotional process as the client finally lets go of all the emotional baggage that has been stuffed down, hidden away for so long, and healing can take place: amazingly cathartic.
Then we can re-build the client, allowing him or her to re-discover their true self, their true power. This in itself is a process of transformation, and I love to see a lighter, brighter, more confident person emerging from the shadows.

Emotional or mental abuse is equally destructive, and gaslighting can destroy someone without them realising what is happening.
Here I work with the client to unravel the tangled roots of the issue back to source. Sometimes this is not as easy as it may seem and may well be somewhat uncomfortable for the client as outdated, inappropriate beliefs and conditioning are dismantled. Relationships may then be seen in a different light; power games recognised for what they are; and different choices may be made, all in a safe, secure environment that builds confidence, self-power and understanding.

If you know someone who may benefit from resolving such issues, do give them my contact numbers – 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. Or they can get in touch using the form on this website: the messages do reach me, and I do respond!

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT ….

We usually buy T-shirts as souvenirs, reminders of happy times in special places.
Sadly, though, we all have other T-shirts: those that are imprinted with all of the programming and put-downs we have received over the years, from parents, teachers and bosses; from lovers and partners; from those in power in “the system”. Careless comments from a trusted teacher can create a wound that oozes insecurity and a sense of not being good enough. Repeated telling off (or worse) from parents invariably create issues that echo through to adult life in the form of anxiety or negativity; fear or perhaps lack of boundaries around appropriate behaviour.

I work with clients to trace the real, underlying root cause of whatever issue brings them to me, be it a fear or phobia or emotional trauma; an abusive relationship or more generalised anxiety. Resolving the issue at source allows the client to take off that restrictive T-shirt and choose a more positive one for the future.
My work is based on hypnotherapy to access the unconscious mind of the client, and it blends past life regression with spirit release and soul retrieval work. Yes, it might sound a bit “out there” – many of my clients say the same thing – but they also say, “Jude, it’s weird, but it works!”

If you know someone who needs a change of T-shirt, give them my numbers, 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512: I’m always happy to have a chat.

DUMP THAT EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE – YOU’LL BE SO GLAD YOU DID!

LIGHTER, BRIGHTER AND MORE POSITIVE – HOW GOOD IS THAT!

We start collecting baggage from an early age, taking on board “stuff” from parents, teachers, lovers, bosses … it piles up, weighing us down, stifling our creativity, trapping our true selves inside cages made of guilt, self-doubt, fear and pain.

Just imagine how much lighter, brighter and more enjoyable life could be if all that baggage could be left behind!

That’s what I help clients to do, and it’s fabulous to see the transformation, to see them come alive as they re-discover who they really are.

One lady, in a deep state of relaxation, went back to the time just after she was born. The very first words this little baby heard her father say were “I didn’t want a girl, I wanted a boy.” She carried that weight throughout her life, until we let it go.

Other clients know that they were not wanted, they were “accidents” – and sometimes their parents tell the child so in no uncertain terms as it grows up. Imagine the weight of that!

Some clients share stories of being abused by parents or relations. Often they carry the shame, guilt, confusion and anger as excess weight or as physical issues. And often they have never been able to talk about it freely. The process of releasing all of that in safe surroundings is hugely cathartic, leaving people lighter, brighter, more confident in themselves, and able to move on with a fresh perspective.

If you know someone who might benefit from letting go of some emotional baggage, please pass on my numbers – 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I’m always happy to have a chat, completely free of charge of course, and with no commitment.

Overwhelm … Anxiety … Emotional Trauma

One way or another, these three symptoms feature high with a majority of people who come to see me. It may be one particular event, or an issue that has been going on for years and has reached that point where it just has to be dealt with. Maybe it’s that sense of “something’s come over me” or “I’m not myself” or “I want my old self back” … a phobia that’s holding them back …
My blend of hypnotherapy, regression and other processes has proved very effective in dealing with these kinds of challenges. I always aim to trace back the real underlying root cause of the issue, whatever it may be, and to resolve it at source. That may mean, for instance, locating and releasing old traumas and emotions that have been weighing the client down. It may mean exploring a past life (yes, really) … the work is “out there”, it’s weird – but it works.
If you know someone who might benefit from “lightening the load” emotionally speaking, give them my numbers. I’m always happy to have a chat: 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512.

WHAT’S WEIGHING YOU DOWN?

A few years ago now, I gave a talk at the College of Psychic Studies in London called just that – “What’s Weighing you Down?” I explained that, in my experience, no amount of dieting or even bariatric surgery will work if the underlying emotional root causes of holding on to excess weight have not been addressed.

What are these “underlying emotional causes”? They could be anything from an abusive childhood to bullying at school; from the forced termination of a pregnancy to a stillbirth or loss of a newborn baby. It could be an abusive relationship or rejection by a loved one ….. It is all so painful, we build a wall, a layer of comfort and / or protection. At an unconscious level, some call this the “heart wall”, and that is a good description. But there is equally a physical “wall” – that “spare tyre” around the middle, which just so happens to be where we find the solar plexus, the energy centre of our emotions.

I am not saying that a sensible diet and exercise are not important, they are certainly central to your overall health and wellbeing. But what I am saying is that your mental and emotional wellbeing is just as important, and this can only be tackled through the unconscious.

I have done a lot of work with clients who are holding on to excess weight, and the process is invariably the same: the client is put into a deep state of relaxation, and I talk direct to their unconscious. The root cause is usually a combination of a spirit “passenger” with a sweet tooth or a craving for a particular type of food; a past life in which the client had issues with food, or lack of it, and may even have died of starvation; and any number of emotional traumas in this current lifetime that need to be identified and healed.

If, at the end of those treatments, the client feels that he or she would like to have a hypnotic gastric band fitted (a “belt and braces approach”), then I will do that. The process is not nearly as risky as bariatric surgery; it is non-invasive and it takes just one two-hour session. BUT I will only do that with a client when they have been through the other processes, otherwise we are back to where we came in – “What’s Weighing You Down?”

You could sign up for a gym membership. You could start another fashionable diet.
Or you could look at things in a completely different way and start from the inside out: that way, the issues are resolved once and for all.

LOST SOMETHING? FROM BITCOIN CODES TO LIBIDO – LET ME HELP YOU FIND IT – IT’S THERE IN YOUR UNCONSCIOUS SOMEWHERE!

We all lose things. Sometimes we need help to find them again, especially if they are a bit more complicated than an umbrella or a pair of gloves.

I help clients find things they have lost by searching in their unconscious.
It’s a matter of tracking back to find the real root cause, and resolving it at source.
That releases the trauma and allows the client to move on, free to enjoy life to the full.

What sort of things have I helped people to find?

Libido, for instance. We found that squashed down and crushed in a past life, and very painful it was too.

Freedom to drive over bridges. That went back to the 1500s and a nasty fall off the castle battlements.

Freedom from a gambling addiction: that was what I call a spirit “passenger” making its influence felt.

There was even a newspaper headline recently saying that Bitcoin investors were turning to hypnosis to try and remember their blockchain codes …. well, if it works for that, it can work for you, too, whatever you’re trying to find!

EMOTIONAL RUBBISH CLEARANCE SERVICE

We all have a large rubbish bin full of emotional baggage: stuff we should have got rid of years ago. But we become attached to it, like an old pair of slippers or a baggy sweater, and somehow we never get around to letting it go …

Trouble is, it mounts up and mounts up in the system, at one level or another, and eventually it all becomes too much. “Overwhelm” is something I deal with frequently with clients who are crumbling under the weight of accumulated emotional baggage. If we haven’t bagged up and got rid of emotional traumas, we keep tripping over them, they get in the way, they stop us from moving forward.

In my experience, the only way to truly clear out all of this type of rubbish is to trace it back to the real underlying emotional root cause, and to resolve it at source. The basis of my work is hypnotherapy as a way of accessing the unconscious, where most of the trauma (in all its forms) is stored. I use a number of techniques and processes in my “rubbish clearance service” – releasing traumas from this life; exploring possible traumas in past lives and so on – all aimed at getting rid of that emotional baggage once and for all. Clients find emotional freedom; they reclaim their personal power; they are able to move on with their lives free from fears, phobias, anxiety and that sense of overwhelm. Amazing what a good clear-out can do!

If you – or someone you know – could benefit from my special emotional rubbish clearance service, my numbers are 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512: I’m always happy to have a chat (totally confidential, totally free of charge).

RECOVERY AND BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE

It was Russell Brand who said that – and he knows a thing or two about recovery.

I had not thought of myself as “breakdown assistance” before, but actually the analogy works very well. A car won’t start, or it just stops, and it is the task of the mechanic to locate the problem and put it right, so that the car runs efficiently and smoothly again. A client comes to me when he or she “won’t start” or has “just stopped” – and it is my task to locate the issue and resolve it, to get the client firing on all cylinders again.

Whereas the mechanic uses a wide range of diagnostic equipment, I go straight to the horse’s mouth, as it were. I put the client into a deep state of relaxation – some call it a hypnotic trance – and I work with their unconscious, tracing back the real underlying emotional root cause of the issue and resolving it at source.

I’ve worked with people from 18 to 80, uncovering layers of traumas and anxiety; fears, phobias and programming that have built up over the years. Releasing successive layers often leads to dramatic “pops” of progress, alongside the steady, subtle steps that support this process. All the while the intention is to give them back their power or – as Russell Brand so beautifully puts it – “to recover the person they were intended to be.”

If you know someone who needs support to get them back firing on all cylinders, give them my numbers – 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I’m always happy to have a totally confidential (and totally free) no-commitment chat. Or give them a link to this website for more information.
