Overwhelm … Anxiety … Emotional Trauma

One way or another, these three symptoms feature high with a majority of people who come to see me. It may be one particular event, or an issue that has been going on for years and has reached that point where it just has to be dealt with. Maybe it’s that sense of “something’s come over me” or “I’m not myself” or “I want my old self back” … a phobia that’s holding them back …
My blend of hypnotherapy, regression and other processes has proved very effective in dealing with these kinds of challenges. I always aim to trace back the real underlying root cause of the issue, whatever it may be, and to resolve it at source. That may mean, for instance, locating and releasing old traumas and emotions that have been weighing the client down. It may mean exploring a past life (yes, really) … the work is “out there”, it’s weird – but it works.
If you know someone who might benefit from “lightening the load” emotionally speaking, give them my numbers. I’m always happy to have a chat: 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512.

WHAT’S WEIGHING YOU DOWN?

A few years ago now, I gave a talk at the College of Psychic Studies in London called just that – “What’s Weighing you Down?” I explained that, in my experience, no amount of dieting or even bariatric surgery will work if the underlying emotional root causes of holding on to excess weight have not been addressed.

What are these “underlying emotional causes”? They could be anything from an abusive childhood to bullying at school; from the forced termination of a pregnancy to a stillbirth or loss of a newborn baby. It could be an abusive relationship or rejection by a loved one ….. It is all so painful, we build a wall, a layer of comfort and / or protection. At an unconscious level, some call this the “heart wall”, and that is a good description. But there is equally a physical “wall” – that “spare tyre” around the middle, which just so happens to be where we find the solar plexus, the energy centre of our emotions.

I am not saying that a sensible diet and exercise are not important, they are certainly central to your overall health and wellbeing. But what I am saying is that your mental and emotional wellbeing is just as important, and this can only be tackled through the unconscious.

I have done a lot of work with clients who are holding on to excess weight, and the process is invariably the same: the client is put into a deep state of relaxation, and I talk direct to their unconscious. The root cause is usually a combination of a spirit “passenger” with a sweet tooth or a craving for a particular type of food; a past life in which the client had issues with food, or lack of it, and may even have died of starvation; and any number of emotional traumas in this current lifetime that need to be identified and healed.

If, at the end of those treatments, the client feels that he or she would like to have a hypnotic gastric band fitted (a “belt and braces approach”), then I will do that. The process is not nearly as risky as bariatric surgery; it is non-invasive and it takes just one two-hour session. BUT I will only do that with a client when they have been through the other processes, otherwise we are back to where we came in – “What’s Weighing You Down?”

You could sign up for a gym membership. You could start another fashionable diet.
Or you could look at things in a completely different way and start from the inside out: that way, the issues are resolved once and for all.

LOST SOMETHING? FROM BITCOIN CODES TO LIBIDO – LET ME HELP YOU FIND IT – IT’S THERE IN YOUR UNCONSCIOUS SOMEWHERE!

We all lose things. Sometimes we need help to find them again, especially if they are a bit more complicated than an umbrella or a pair of gloves.

I help clients find things they have lost by searching in their unconscious.
It’s a matter of tracking back to find the real root cause, and resolving it at source.
That releases the trauma and allows the client to move on, free to enjoy life to the full.

What sort of things have I helped people to find?

Libido, for instance. We found that squashed down and crushed in a past life, and very painful it was too.

Freedom to drive over bridges. That went back to the We1500s and a nasty fall off the castle battlements.

Freedom from a gambling addiction: that was what I call a spirit “passenger” making its influence felt.

There was even a newspaper headline recently saying that Bitcoin investors were turning to hypnosis to try and remember their blockchain codes …. well, if it works for that, it can work for you, too, whatever you’re trying to find!

If you know someone who would benefit from finding something, do give them my numbers:  01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512: I’m always happy to have a chat. Or point them to my website:  www.effective-hypnotherapy.co.uk .

EMOTIONAL RUBBISH CLEARANCE SERVICE

We all have a large rubbish bin full of emotional baggage: stuff we should have got rid of years ago. But we become attached to it, like an old pair of slippers or a baggy sweater, and somehow we never get around to letting it go …

Trouble is, it mounts up and mounts up in the system, at one level or another, and eventually it all becomes too much. “Overwhelm” is something I deal with frequently with clients who are crumbling under the weight of accumulated emotional baggage. If we haven’t bagged up and got rid of emotional traumas, we keep tripping over them, they get in the way, they stop us from moving forward.

In my experience, the only way to truly clear out all of this type of rubbish is to trace it back to the real underlying emotional root cause, and to resolve it at source. The basis of my work is hypnotherapy as a way of accessing the unconscious, where most of the trauma (in all its forms) is stored. I use a number of techniques and processes in my “rubbish clearance service” – releasing traumas from this life; exploring possible traumas in past lives and so on – all aimed at getting rid of that emotional baggage once and for all. Clients find emotional freedom; they reclaim their personal power; they are able to move on with their lives free from fears, phobias, anxiety and that sense of overwhelm. Amazing what a good clear-out can do!

If you – or someone you know – could benefit from my special emotional rubbish clearance service, my numbers are 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512: I’m always happy to have a chat (totally confidential, totally free of charge).

RECOVERY AND BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE

It was Russell Brand who said that – and he knows a thing or two about recovery.

I had not thought of myself as “breakdown assistance” before, but actually the analogy works very well. A car won’t start, or it just stops, and it is the task of the mechanic to locate the problem and put it right, so that the car runs efficiently and smoothly again. A client comes to me when he or she “won’t start” or has “just stopped” – and it is my task to locate the issue and resolve it, to get the client firing on all cylinders again.

Whereas the mechanic uses a wide range of diagnostic equipment, I go straight to the horse’s mouth, as it were. I put the client into a deep state of relaxation – some call it a hypnotic trance – and I work with their unconscious, tracing back the real underlying emotional root cause of the issue and resolving it at source.

I’ve worked with people from 18 to 80, uncovering layers of traumas and anxiety; fears, phobias and programming that have built up over the years. Releasing successive layers often leads to dramatic “pops” of progress, alongside the steady, subtle steps that support this process. All the while the intention is to give them back their power or – as Russell Brand so beautifully puts it – “to recover the person they were intended to be.”

If you know someone who needs support to get them back firing on all cylinders, give them my numbers – 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I’m always happy to have a totally confidential (and totally free) no-commitment chat. Or give them a link to this website for more information.

DO YOU KNOW AN EMOTIONAL VOLCANO?

Someone weighed down by too much stress, emotional trauma or anxiety is like a volcano. They may seem perfectly calm on the outside, while inside issues and emotions are building up to boiling point. Very often it only takes a minor “something” to trigger the eruption, when all of that pent-up frustration, anger, resentment or even fear suddenly overflows, spilling onto everyone around, leaving a trail of emotional destruction in its wake.
“Where did that come from?”
“What’s the matter with her?”
“What did I say?”

I have been working recently with a number of people who have reached “eruption point” and who are seeking not only a controlled outlet for their emotions, but also to understand the real root cause for that build-up. Sometimes it’s obvious – childhood abuse, bullying at school and / or the workplace and / or in relationships – sometimes it goes back much further.

Whatever and wherever the real root cause, I work with the client to trace it back, and then we resolve and heal all the issues at source. The client has offloaded, once and for all, that heavy emotional baggage that was likely to erupt at any time, leaving them lighter, brighter, and able to move on with their lives.

If someone you know is an emotional volcano, give them my contact details. I am always happy to have a chat – no charge, no obligation – very often just talking to an independent someone is a great help.

FREEDOM FROM FEARS AND PHOBIAS

How fears and phobias hold us back

Mary was delighted to become a grandmother for the first time. But her new grandson was in Hong Kong and her fear of flying made it impossible for her to go and visit him.
Sally’s daughter was terrified of dogs. Her walk to school was a nightmare, and playing in the park was out of the question.
Dave loved driving but would have to check every route because he couldn’t bear to drive over bridges. It added miles to each journey, wasted valuable time and cost extra in fuel.

Mary sent me an email with a photo of her holding her grandson in Hong Kong. Sally’s daughter no longer dreads the walk to school. Dave has discovered many scenic new routes since he overcame his fear of bridges.

If you know someone who is being held back in their personal or professional life by a fear or a phobia (one is just a more severe version of the other), why not reassure them that help is at hand?

I am based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex and I work from Vinings Natural Health Centre, also in Haywards Heath.

I’m always happy to have a chat about the issues that are stopping people reaching their full potential.

Weight Loss – an alternative solution

It’s that time of year when holiday brochures and TV ads show tempting images of sparkling blue seas, golden beaches – and people in perfect shape showing off their bodies. That can be enough to make you throw the brochure across the room, change channels on the TV and have another handful of biscuits!

We all know that sensible eating and doing some exercise is a good start to healthy living, whether or not the objective is an hour-glass figure. And we all know that “slimming” and “weight loss” are multi-million-pound industries in their own right – just look at the books, magazines and websites dedicated to them, let alone the huge array of products promoted as being the best, the only, solution.

And yet, many people are still “overweight”. I freely admit that I take serious issue with the whole “BMI is the holy grail” nonsense. Those of you who know me will know that I am no size 6 stick insect: I probably come up as “obese” on the medical scale and I admit I could do with losing a few pounds.  But other readings come up as green, or healthy, or normal, and if my only problem is holding on to a few extra pounds, then for me, life is too short to worry about it.

The food we eat today is nothing like the food our grandparents ate – it has been sprayed with goodness knows what, much of it has been genetically modified, and there is hidden salt, sugar and oil in just about everything. If you really want to be free of the “three deadly sins” of sugar, salt and bad oils, you have to look very carefully indeed at labels, or buy, prepare and cook your own food from fresh, preferably organic. And that is not always an option.

I do a fair bit of work with people who are seriously overweight, and who have tried everything from the latest faddy diet to hours in the gym, without success. While I would encourage everyone to eat a healthy, balanced mix of food each day and to do some exercise, I believe that, for many people, the real reason they are holding onto excess weight is a deep-rooted emotional trauma. The excess layers of fat could well be there to provide comfort or protection against such events as abuse in early childhood; bullying at school; a broken heart; an abusive relationship; termination of a pregnancy or loss of a baby.
When these traumas are uncovered and healed at source, the excess weight has done its job, it is no longer needed, and it is therefore easier to let it go.
I have also worked with many people who are obsessed with food in this life because they have starved to death in a previous life. Just think about the millions who are starving today in our so-called civilised world, and imagine how many millions more would have starved many hundreds of years ago. An individual who has starved to death will often have as their passing thought – that thought that is with them as they take their final outbreath – “I will never go hungry again” or something similar. It can often be that these people, in this lifetime, are eating physical food to try to fill an emotional hole – and that doesn’t work.

If any of this chimes with you, get in touch. Email me through the form on the Contact page of this website, or call me on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I am based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and I work from Vinings Natural Health Centre, also in Haywards Heath.

How could Hypnotherapy help you?

There seems to be a perception “out there” that people who come to see someone like me must be “strange” in some way, or into “all that woo woo stuff”.
Let me set the record straight on that. Some people who come to see me are indeed on their own spiritual journey, and I am very happy to work with them. Using my blend of hypnotherapy, past life, spirit release and soul retrieval work can help them overcome blockages and shift them up a notch or two.
However, the majority of people who come to see have not given much thought to their spirituality at all, they just want to sort out whatever issue is holding them back. And that is absolutely fine with me too.

There are many ways in which hypnotherapy can be used to help people: indeed that is one of the reasons I was attracted to it all those years ago. Like a tradesman with a toolbox full of tried and tested tools, I will use whichever techniques and processes I feel will be most effective to resolve the particular issue I am dealing with. My objective is always to get to the root cause of the issue and to resolve it at source.

What are the typical types of problems that people present me with?
Fears and phobias is a common one: anything from a fear of flying to fear of success – a phobia is, after all, a more exaggerated, irrational fear. Very often this can lead back to a past life – the very idea may sound strange to some people, but once they have experienced one or more of their previous lives, they are totally convinced!

Weight loss is high on the list too. There is so much hype and media / peer pressure nowadays for people to be slim to the point of being skinny, that even some people I would say are “normal” want to lose weight. I do work with those who are genuinely seriously overweight and we aim to find the real underlying reason why the client is holding on to that excess weight. If needed, and after looking at the other issues, I will “fit” a hypnotic gastric band to help with weight control.

“Emotional issues” covers a wide range of challenges that people face, from anxiety and stress to feeling overwhelmed with situations or relationships. Here again I always work with the client to uncover the root causes and deal with those. There may be a couple of “spirit passengers” having an influence – again, some people think this is a very strange concept. To me, it is totally natural, and results can range from subtle but “something has definitely shifted” to quite dramatic – kicking a gambling addiction, losing a craving for cakes and biscuits, for instance. That is just the starting point, of course, and we can look back at past lives, investigate deep-seated belief systems or even talk to parts of the body if appropriate.

Pain control – pain is actually a construct in the brain and, as such, may be de-constructed. It should always be remembered of course that pain is the body’s alarm system and as such should not be switched off completely. I would work with a client to put in place a new “programme” to give the client control, the ability to turn down the pain when needed: this is done through strong hypnotic suggestions, visualisations and similar techniques.

Giving up Smoking – generally speaking, this can be done in one session with hypnotherapy. But again, I would always talk with the client to see what else is going on – someone who is very stressed or has other emotional, mental or physical issues to deal with will not find it as easy to give up as someone whose issues have been dealt with.

If you feel that my blend of hypnotherapy, past life, spirit release and soul retrieval work could help you, give me a call on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I am always happy to have a chat: there’s no commitment, as I understand it is important for a client to find just the right therapist to work with. I am based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and work primarily from Vinings Natural Health Centre, also in Haywards Heath.

Soul Retrieval – what does that mean?

I use the Shamanic term to explain the process of going back and “retrieving” those parts of your soul that have split off and been “left behind” at times of trauma.
Parts of our soul can split off at any time from birth onwards. Typical situations would be a young child abused by a parent or family member; a teenager whose heart is broken; a parent who experiences a stillbirth or whose child dies unexpectedly; and someone who loses a loved one through death or divorce: there are many more but as you can see, most people nowadays will have gone through at least one of these situations if not more.

The process starts with me putting the client into a deep state of relaxation with hypnotherapy. I then talk direct with the client’s unconscious (we might also call it the inner self or higher self), and ask it to indicate the different ages at which there are situations to be addressed. Armed with this list, we start the journey. At each stop, we look for and find the “splintered-off” or “left behind” part of the client. It may be a frightened little boy who was bullied at school, too scared to tell his parents what was going on. He will probably still be scared, confused, shy… Or a teenage girl who was forced to have an abortion: she may be sad, feeling a sense of loss, angry … A young adult whose mother or father died suddenly before there was a chance to say those last goodbyes: he or she could well be feeling cheated, frustrated, angry, confused ….

Each of those lost parts need to be re-integrated into the client. This is not always easy, and can often be emotional. Sometimes the lost parts are defiant:  “you’ve forgotten all about me”; “why should I trust you now?”;  “I hate you …”
But eventually, with love and warmth and compassion, they can be embraced back into the heart where they belong.
The process of leaving behind, letting go of, those emotions that are no longer needed, of cutting the links to any emotional “tug” those fragments may still have had to the adult, is very cathartic.

These sessions can be very emotional, and I encourage that release. It is my firm belief that no real emotional healing can take place unless and until the individual is “whole”, and this process is one of the most powerful in allowing that to happen.
