CAN A PAST LIFE AFFECT A CURRENT LIFE? OH YES!

Some people will scoff at the headline and say that there’s no such thing as past lives. That’s their view. With more than 20 years of regression work under my belt, my view is that (a) past lives are real and that (b) they can and do affect many aspects of our current lives. The most common issues are those irrational fears that hold us back – from flying off on holiday; from walking along the riverside; from clifftops or high-rise buildings; from making speeches or presentations. In addition, I have helped clients resolve issues with relationships; with money; with success. One woman’s relationship with her mother transformed within a week when we uncovered an ancient life where the client (then a man) had beaten his mother (also his mother in that life) to death, and we resolved that “unfinished business”. Another woman found her love life re-ignited once we had uncovered the life in which she had been abused as a child by a trusted relative and again, dealt with the outstanding issues. A young man got his life back on track when we explored two of his past lives, one of which was as a young woman who fell on hard times and became a prostitute who met a violent end in the back streets of London. It is not uncommon for people holding onto excess weight to find past lives in which they have starved to death. Tracing the issue back to where it started and dealing with it at source is hugely powerful. It allows the client to let go of all of that emotional “baggage” – the fears, phobias, addictive or obsessive behaviours, issues with wealth or poverty and so on – and to move forward with their lives. If you know someone who might tick some of these boxes, why not pass on my contact details? I am always happy to have a chat about ways in which I may be able to help someone. My landline is 01444 459 433 and my mobile is 07597 020 512. My email is: judy@effective-hypnotherapy.co.uk. I am based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and I work primarily from Vinings Natural Health Centre, also in Haywards Heath. Boost post 4 people...

Weight Loss – an alternative solution

It’s that time of year when holiday brochures and TV ads show tempting images of sparkling blue seas, golden beaches – and people in perfect shape showing off their bodies. That can be enough to make you throw the brochure across the room, change channels on the TV and have another handful of biscuits! We all know that sensible eating and doing some exercise is a good start to healthy living, whether or not the objective is an hour-glass figure. And we all know that “slimming” and “weight loss” are multi-million-pound industries in their own right – just look at the books, magazines and websites dedicated to them, let alone the huge array of products promoted as being the best, the only, solution. And yet, many people are still “overweight”. I freely admit that I take serious issue with the whole “BMI is the holy grail” nonsense. Those of you who know me will know that I am no size 6 stick insect: I probably come up as “obese” on the medical scale and I admit I could do with losing a few pounds.  But other readings come up as green, or healthy, or normal, and if my only problem is holding on to a few extra pounds, then for me, life is too short to worry about it. The food we eat today is nothing like the food our grandparents ate – it has been sprayed with goodness knows what, much of it has been genetically modified, and there is hidden salt, sugar and oil in just about everything. If you really want to be free of the “three deadly sins” of sugar, salt and bad oils, you have to look very carefully indeed at labels, or buy, prepare and cook your own food from fresh, preferably organic. And that is not always an option. I do a fair bit of work with people who are seriously overweight, and who have tried everything from the latest faddy diet to hours in the gym, without success. While I would encourage everyone to eat a healthy, balanced mix of food each day and to do some exercise, I believe that, for many people, the real reason they are holding onto excess weight is a deep-rooted emotional trauma. The excess layers of fat could well be there to provide comfort or protection against such events as abuse in early childhood; bullying at school; a broken heart; an abusive relationship; termination of a pregnancy or loss of a baby. When these traumas are uncovered and healed at source, the excess weight has done its job, it is no longer needed, and it is therefore easier to let it go. I have also worked...

Fear of Flying – is it keeping you grounded?

You’d really like to join your mates on a golfing trip to the Algarve. Your fear of flying holds you back. You’d love to visit your first grandchild in Hong Kong. Your fear of flying holds you back. You’d love to go for that promotion as European Sales Manager. Your fear of flying holds you back. As the world gets smaller and travel (in theory at least!) gets easier, so fear of flying becomes more and more of an issue. I’ve had clients coming to me with all of these scenarios and more – their partner is fed up with cruises; the family is threatening to leave them at home while they fly off on holiday; and their job is on the line if they can’t get to that board meeting in Spain or the States. This particular phobia can take many forms – is it the take-off and landing? Or the idea of being so high, above the clouds? Is it the fact that you are strapped in? Confined to a small space? Not in control? It is complex, and often it may be more than one or all of these. Sometimes, there is a logical reason in this lifetime for an extreme reluctance to fly. If, for instance, you were on a transatlantic flight as a child and the plane was caught in severe turbulence over the ocean, that would be enough to trigger anxiety. Or if there was once a technical problem on a flight, it had to turn back, an engine caught fire ….. then, for some people, that is enough to put them off for life. Or several lives … In my many years of working with fears and phobias, I have found that the real root cause of fear of flying for many people lies not in this lifetime at all, but in a past life.  Recent cases have included a man who went back to a life as a fighter pilot in WWI, when the planes were little more than balsa wood and sticking plaster and the pilots had no parachutes. He was shot down on his third mission, aged just 19. A lady found a life as a man in India in the 1600s: after exploring a fascinating life, we found him buried under rubble during an earthquake in Calcutta. He was not found, and died there, trapped in that enclosed space. If your fear of flying is holding you back, in your personal or professional life, get in touch. Let’s get it sorted – and watch your life take off! Email me via the Contact page of this website, or call me on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I...

Past Lives and Life between Lives

PAST LIVES AND LIVES BETWEEN LIVES Past life work is my passion, because I understand how powerful it can be at resolving such a wide range of issues. Over the years I have helped lots and lots of people to explore their past lives, either out of interest or because we were tracing back the root cause of a particular issue in this lifetime. I have had clients come to me with problems such as sleep disorder; a constant, nagging anxiety; and even infertility. None of these clients would have specifically come to me for a session of past life regression and yet, working back to find the root causes, we ended up in some very interesting situations in times gone by. The process of discovering what caused the pain or trauma in the first place, and dealing with any outstanding issues of course, almost inevitably resolves the problem in this current lifetime, allowing the client to move on knowing that the baggage has been dealt with. LIFE BETWEEN LIVES  Life between lives is a fascinating topic and, like past life regression, it’s a huge subject in itself. If we work from the assumption that the soul survives death – what happens to it? Where does it go? Why does it come back – or doesn’t it? It would take a book to answer all of those questions in depth, and people such as Roger Woolger have produced books that do just that. But in brief, the soul “goes home” to that other reality, that other dimension, where it is met by its soul group. This is a bit like meeting up with old friends after years of being away: a time for celebration and renewing those links, and of telling stories about that time away. What did you do, what was good, what was not so good; what you learned; all those experiences! After a period of settling in and resting, the soul meets with what is generally called “The Council of Elders” for a more formal de-briefing of the time on earth. Each soul comes to earth with a “to do” list, lessons to be learned, challenges to be undertaken. This de-briefing is the time to go through that list and discuss how well the life lived matched the original objectives. It is not done in a judgmental way, rather with love and compassion, helping the soul to understand where the challenges were not met, as well as acknowledging the progress the soul has made in other areas. That leads to the preparation of the script for the next life, and in a session with a client I ensure that we check on the script for this life. The...

Real Testimonials from Real Clients

Sometimes clients will write me a letter – or, more commonly nowadays, send me an email – to let me know what changes have come about in their lives as a result of their sessions with me. It is always a pleasure to receive such feedback. A handful are reproduced here, to give a flavour of the wide range of issues that have been resolved. Names have been  removed to maintain client confidentiality. First, a selection of “one-liners” and then a few slightly longer explanations. If you feel I might be able to help you, why not give me a call on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I work from Vinings Natural Health Centre in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and I am always happy to have a chat about whatever issue may be holding you back in your life. “I’m more present, more awake.” “I left (the session) not knowing up or down …. There was lots of processing, and now I am lighter, happier and more joyful.” “I haven’t felt this good in my life.       I’ve turned the corner.” “The work you’ve done so far has been an enormous help, thank you very much!” “It’s easier for me to accept who I am. I’m happy with who I am, and I’m easier to get on with.”   “I really enjoyed the session, and did indeed feel the benefit of it. With regards my back, it felt very much improved straight away as you know, with a feeling of freeness that I had not experienced for years. ….. Also re the food issue, that seems to be improving too. Initially there didn’t seem to be any difference in the way I felt about food, but maybe a week or so later, it was like a switch had been flicked in my head, and I just felt all of a sudden that I ‘didn’t need to be fat anymore’ ….. It would be lovely for this to be something that I can leave behind in the past. Or perhaps more usefully, something that can be consigned to the mental rubbish bin as it is something that is now no longer required in my life.” “I’m calmer, more relaxed. I’m able to let go, I’m finding it easier to make decisions. My back is feeling much better. I have had problems with my right wrist for years, it is now loosening up and becoming more flexible.” “Food portion sizes are now smaller, I’m feeling fuller sooner. I’ve definitely got more energy, and I’m doing more. I’m sleeping well at night. I’ve moved on from guilt and anger. “I’m good enough for myself.” “I just wanted to drop you an...
