Overwhelm … Anxiety … Emotional Trauma

One way or another, these three symptoms feature high with a majority of people who come to see me. It may be one particular event, or an issue that has been going on for years and has reached that point where it just has to be dealt with. Maybe it’s that sense of “something’s come over me” or “I’m not myself” or “I want my old self back” … a phobia that’s holding them back …
My blend of hypnotherapy, regression and other processes has proved very effective in dealing with these kinds of challenges. I always aim to trace back the real underlying root cause of the issue, whatever it may be, and to resolve it at source. That may mean, for instance, locating and releasing old traumas and emotions that have been weighing the client down. It may mean exploring a past life (yes, really) … the work is “out there”, it’s weird – but it works.
If you know someone who might benefit from “lightening the load” emotionally speaking, give them my numbers. I’m always happy to have a chat: 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512.

Spirit “Passengers”

This is always a tricky topic to address. Some people refuse to discuss it at all, thinking it smacks of the work of the devil (whatever that is to them) or witchcraft. Others are (slightly) more open to the idea but don’t for one minute think it applies to them. And then there are those who understand the concept and accept that yes, that sudden change of behaviour or unexplained pain might just be caused by something as strange as a “spirit passenger”.

In some books these are referred to as “entities” or “spirit attachments”. I think these terms sound a bit threatening and alarming, so I am not surprised that people with little experience of things spiritual shy away from the very concept. I prefer to call them “passengers” because in most cases that is all they are.

What are they? Put simply, they are souls or spirits who have not passed over to the light as they should have done.

How does that happen? I like to explain it like this. Most people (of whatever age) know deep inside when they are nearing the end of their life. Just as the soul worked hard at the start of its physical incarnation to loosen the ties to the non-physical world, so now it will start to loosen the ties to the physical world and to open up the pathways to that non-physical realm. It is starting to pack its suitcase, ready for the journey home. Sometimes when people visit an elderly relative, they will say “he’s not all here, you know.” No, he’s not – because part of him has already gone home! So when the final breath comes, the soul simply picks up its suitcase and off it goes, peacefully and easily.

When the death is unexpected such as a car accident, for instance, or – sadly much more common nowadays – a shooting or a bombing – the soul has not packed its suitcase, it’s not ready to go. So it is lost, not knowing where to go. When this happens, the soul – being pure energy / vibration – will look around for someone whose energy field (or aura) matches its own vibration, or it will find someone whose energy field is so loving that it seems to have a Welcome sign on the door.

I met someone many years ago who had picked one up at the scene of a nasty traffic accdent: she and her mother had been passing on the other side of the motorway just after the accident and the lady had sent out loving thoughts to all those involved. Her warm, loving thought was enough to attract the spirit of a young man who had been killed there, it simply followed the beam back to a new home.

Very often, having found a new “home”, the spirit will simply curl up like a little dormouse and sleep peacefully. Sometimes, however, the spirit may makes its influence felt in a negative way. I have clients coming to me saying things like, “I don’t feel quite myself,” or “something’s come over me,” or “I want my old self back.”

The actual process is not complicated – the client is in a deep state of relaxation and I am working with the client’s unconscious and the spirits themselves, communicating with them and preparing them to “go home” to where they need to be for their continuing soul journey.

After such a session, the results can be remarkable. Clients have reported huge improvements in health or a complete change of diet. They say things like, “I feel like my old self,” or “I never realised how far off track I’d gone.” One client lost her craving for cakes and biscuits after such a session, and a young man lost his gambling addiction after just one session – both had been influenced by spirits.

The lady who picked up the spirit of the man killed in the traffic accident, for instance, found that she became aggressive and that all she wanted to eat was junk food. It was only two or three years later that she looked into the possibility of having a passenger, and when the spirit of the young motorcyclist was released and helped to the light, her behaviour and diet reverted almost instantly.

How many people have “passengers”? Hard to say. Some estimates say it could be around 90% of those wandering around the supermarket with you! So if you, or someone you know, has changed for no apparent reason, or if you feel that there’s just something not quite right – it could well be a passenger! Call me now on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512 for a chat.

A good friend of mine, of the most spiritual ladies I know,  has some serious health issues, including a crumbling spine and constant pain in her chest. Unbeknown to me, she had decided to take herself off her long-term, heavy pain-killing medication a couple of days before I arrived, so she was not in the best of shape when I arrived.

We agreed that I would work with her with hypnotherapy to control her considerable pain. No sooner had she gone into a beautiful deep state of relaxation than she began talking: “The mud is everywhere, they never told me it would be like this, where are my men . . . .?” At first I thought that she had slipped into a past life, but it quickly became clear that I was talking to someone in the trenches in Belgium in World War I. This young soldier, who gave his name as Commander George, was only in his mid-twenties, and felt desperately unprepared for the carnage all round him. His men were being killed, they were all knee-high in mud all the time, the stench of gas hung in the air and he was very frightened and confused.

Screen shot 2015-10-29 at 10.34.06 AMWhile talking to Commander George, he suddenly said, “I’ve been hit. The bits of metal . . . I’m on the operating table, I see the doctors, they’re taking bits of metal out of my body but it’s no good . . . oh lord, I’m dead, aren’t I?”
Having established that yes, he was indeed dead, I explained that he needed to move to the light, where he belonged. He was adamant that he was not going without his men, who were clearly there with him somewhere. While emphasising how well he had done his duty and praising his bravery, I told him he had to order his men to go to the light too. I invited him to see the pathway, to feel the love and the warmth, and to tell his troops to make their way to the light. Only when they had gone did he agree to go too. As he got closer to the light, he said, “oh my, there’s my mother! There’s my dog!”

When my friend came back from that deep state of relaxation, she was as surprised as I was. She said that she felt Commander George, frightened as he was, scamper like a crab from her chest to her left arm, and it was from there that he went to the light. The troops – she said she counted at least eleven of them – were piled up her spine, and left via the base of her spine down a sort of chute. Touchingly, she said that Commander George’s dog was called Shep, something that she just “knew” but which he had not told me.

The next day my friend told me that, for the first time in ten years, she did not have a pain in her chest, and she could breathe normally. A couple of weeks later she emailed me to say she had had to completely re-learn how to sit in her car because her spine was so much stronger and her posture was improving day by day. More recently she drove to see me, a journey of almost three hours, something that would have been impossible before the session. She got out of the car and bounded around like a spring lamb – I could not believe it was the same person.

As she herself said, if she had gone to a conventional hypnotherapist and Commander George had appeared, the therapist may well not have recognised what was happening or how to deal with the situation. But then, we agreed, Commander George only appeared because he knew that he and his troops were in a safe, secure environment in which to make that all-important journey.

That is spirit release work at its very best, and it was a pleasure and a privilege to facilitate that healing.

College of Psychic Studies magazine feature about my work

The Spring 2015 edition of “Light”, the magazine of the College of Psychic Studies, included an article written by me about the way in which I mix elements of hypnotherapy, past lives and spirit release therapy when I am working with clients.

The magazine surfaced recently from under a pile of papers, and I thought I would share the article with you – click on the link below.

Written testimonials

Sometimes clients will write me a letter – or, more commonly nowadays, send me an email – to let me know what changes have come about in their lives as a result of their sessions with me. It is always a pleasure to receive such feedback. A handful are reproduced here, to give a flavour of the wide range of issues that have been resolved.
Names have been  removed to maintain client confidentiality. First, a selection of “one-liners” and then a few slightly longer explanations.

“I’m more present, more awake.”

“I left (the session) not knowing up or down …. There was lots of processing, and now I am lighter, happier and more joyful.”

“I haven’t felt this good in my life.       I’ve turned the corner.”

“The work you’ve done so far has been an enormous help, thank you very much!”

“It’s easier for me to accept who I am. I’m happy with who I am, and I’m easier to get on with.”

screen-shot-2016-10-06-at-20-04-44“I really enjoyed the session, and did indeed feel the benefit of it. With regards my back, it felt very much improved straight away as you know, with a feeling of freeness that I had not experienced for years. ….. Also re the food issue, that seems to be improving too. Initially there didn’t seem to be any difference in the way I felt about food, but maybe a week or so later, it was like a switch had been flicked in my head, and I just felt all of a sudden that I ‘didn’t need to be fat anymore’ ….. It would be lovely for this to be something that I can leave behind in the past. Or perhaps more usefully, something that can be consigned to the mental rubbish bin as it is something that is now no longer required in my life.”

“I’m calmer, more relaxed. I’m able to let go, I’m finding it easier to make decisions.
My back is feeling much better. I have had problems with my right wrist for years, it is now loosening up and becoming more flexible.”

“Food portion sizes are now smaller, I’m feeling fuller sooner. I’ve definitely got more energy, and I’m doing more. I’m sleeping well at night. I’ve moved on from guilt and anger.
“I’m good enough for myself.”

“I just wanted to drop you an email to let you know how successful my sessions were.
I don’t think I will ever enjoy flying but at least I am able to fly. It was so nice to visit my son (and new grandchild) and this was made possible because of your help.”

“It’s been several weeks since I last saw you and, as promised, I thought I’d let you know how things are with me.
I have used the relaxation disc you gave me most days and I have gained great benefit from it.
I still suffer with pain in my back but I do have days when it is much less painful and I feel my health has benefited with relaxing more and listening to your words.
So, I am grateful for your help and send my best wishes, hoping all is well with you.”

“I just wanted to thank you and let you know how I was getting on after that amazing session with you last Wednesday.
I felt truly unburdened and free, as well as powerful and glorious. I  feel I’ve reached a point I’ve been straining towards for years – a point where I have full confidence in who I am and full faith in all that is. And unexpectedly an enormous amount of joy and fun came from it too!
Everyone around me noticed – my interactions with others has changed a lot – no more neediness towards others, just a desire to empower and love them.
So I was on a real high for several days. No more sleeping pills – I just don’t want or need them anymore – and I’m now slowly cutting back on the other medication too.”

“I thought I’d send you a quick email to let you know how I’m doing after our 3 sessions recently.
I started the ( ) Weight Plan shortly after our sessions and I’ve lost 2 stone in 7 weeks!
It’s a very low calorie diet (600 per day everyday) but I have stuck to it religiously and not strayed once! People around me can’t believe I haven’t binged or had a ‘treat’ but I truly have not strayed and reaped the rewards!
I’ve got another 2 and half stone to lose but feel very positive and cannot believe how well this is going for me.
It’s all down to our sessions so I’d like to thank you very much.”

Feedback from Clients

I was recently going through my client files and I noticed some common (and very positive) threads among the feedback clients had been giving me, so I thought I might share them.
Names have been changed to maintain client confidentiality.Screen shot 2015-08-25 at 6.26.18 PM

Maureen, late 40s, came to me wanting to get her life back under control, and to sort out a range of outstanding issues. We have indeed ploughed through a lot of “stuff” and Maureen is re-discovering her true self again. Feedback from her includes:
“I felt very tired after the last session, but very relieved too. Things are falling into place.”
“I feel happier, lighter. I’m finally letting go of the past.”

Kathy, early 50s, came to me with food issues: she understood that her excess weight was a physical manifestation of her “holding on to stuff”. The first session of releasing spirit “passengers” was a revelation, and in the second session there was a very vivid past life which explained a lot about issues in this current lifetime. Feedback from Kathy included comments like:
“My body is getting rid of a lot of stuff.”
“I’m much calmer, I’m sleeping better now, and I feel stronger emotionally.”

Tanya, early 30s, had issues with food and a fear of success. The past life was especially revealing, as she had not been able to openly use her healing gifts. Feedback from Tanya included:
“I’m able to join the dots now, it’s all making sense.”
“I’m sleeping much better now, and I feel more in control.”

Janet, early 70s, wanted to regain control of her life. We released a number of spirit “passengers” and uncovered two relevant past lives which provided valuable insights into this-life issues. The session of soul retrieval was especially powerful and emotional for her.
She commented, “the heaviness is lifting, I’ve reached the point of finding my strength and my power.”

Karen, mid-30s, was hampered by a lack of self-confidence and fear of success. The past life session was especially powerful and answered a lot of questions about this-life issues and relationships. After that session, Karen commented:
“So many things make sense to me now:”
“I’ve been sleeping really well.”

We also released several long-term spirit “passengers”, and after that session, Karen’s feedback included these comments:
“I was exhausted for 30 hours after that session.”
“My body has purged lots of stuff.”
“I don’t have any more cravings for sugar, and I don’t comfort eat any more either.”

Jackie, mid-50s, felt she had lot her way in life and was feeling overwhelmed by all that life had thrown at her. We released some long-term spirit “passengers” and did a lot of work on soul retrieval, an emotional session for Jackie. Afterwards, she commented:
“I don’t have any more voices in my head.”
“I slept without medication.”
“I feel more empowered now.”

Screen shot 2015-08-25 at 6.27.27 PMI find it so rewarding when clients can report such positive results from just two or three sessions – or even after the first one! Better quality of sleep seems to be a common thread for many clients, as is the sense of taking back their power and seeing things more clearly. How lovely is that!

If you find yourself in a similar situation to any of these lovely people,  if you would like to re-discover your true self, your inner power – or if you just want to sleep better – why not give me a call on 01444 459 433 or 07597 020 512. I look forward to hearing from you.

Spirit Release conquers Gambling Addiction – what are the odds of that?

Spirit Release Work

One of the reasons I chose hypnotherapy all those years ago was that it could be successfully used across such a wide range of issues, and it was much quicker and more direct at finding the root cause of an issue than some other modalities.

Screen shot 2015-05-15 at 5.52.07 PMAt that time I did not realise just how much more effective it would be with the added power of past life and spirit release work. Let me give you one example, of a young man in his mid-20s who came to see me. He was lovely, charming, a ray of sunshine, but there was a dullness about him. He explained that, on his 18th birthday, he had gone into a local betting shop, just because he could. Somehow, he had become hooked on gambling – and nowadays, as he said, he didn’t even need to go into a betting shop: it was all done on his mobile phone. He was gambling up to £500 a week, hiding it from his mother and his girlfriend and, as he said, because he was lying about it, he couldn’t even cash in and share the big win he’d had a couple of months before he came to see me!

He had tried counselling before, and it had been effective for a short while, but he had drifted back and now really wanted to kick the habit. He did not feel that counselling was strong enough to help him do that. Someone had suggested hypnotherapy, and he found his way to me. Like most new clients, he was a bit wary when I explained about past lives and spirit “passengers” and soul retrieval but, as some level, it all made sense to him, and said he was willing to give it a go.

In the first session we found some spirit “passengers” and had them escorted to the Screen shot 2015-05-15 at 5.54.58 PMlight where they belonged. We had also ascertained that we needed to check a past life, and we had a list of the years to look at for soul retrieval.

When he returned for the next session, the young man looked brighter. I asked how he had been and his reply was really interesting. “I have not felt the need to gamble since our last session,” he said, with a big smile on his face.

In that second session, we found a past life. It was not dramatic, or traumatic, as some of the lives I am guided to: on the contrary. The man we found was alone – and lonely – throughout his life, and felt that his life had been wasted, there was so much more he should have, could have done if only …. if only …. When I asked him what advice he would give to the young man on the couch, he immediately said, “make the most of your life. Make the most of your family. Don’t waste it as I have done.”

At the end of the session, the client was visibly moved by the experience: he had clearly taken on board the lessons of that other life.

He positively bounced into the room for his third and last session. “Well?” I asked. He looked puzzled. “Oh no, I haven’t even thought about it,” he said, “doesn’t even bother me any more.”

Screen shot 2015-05-15 at 5.52.56 PMWith the client once more in a deep state of relaxation, we found and “brought home” the stray parts of the soul that had been left behind at times of trauma. Various emotions came out – confusion, anger, resentment … they were all left behind, and the soul fragments re-integrated. At the end of the session, the client said he felt each of the separate emotions in various parts of his body as the process was under way: a sensitive young man.

It was clear to both the client and to me that the root cause of his gambling had been a spirit “passenger”, probably picked up early on in one of the betting shops. To have such an immediate and positive result was certainly a surprise to the client – and with the money he had saved even in the three weeks that he had been coming to see me, he was able to take his girlfriend away for a lovely long weekend to celebrate!

“Danny” (not his real name) kindly agreed to record a testimonial – in this short clip he explains his experiences with the spirit release and past life sessions.

And here he explains how he felt about the work that we did together.

Spirit Release – all part of a day’s work

Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 5.28.21 PM

Over the years I have devised a basic formula for identifying the key issues that need to be addressed with clients, and this invariably includes checking for spirit “passengers”. As I explain this to new clients, they sometimes give me a very old-fashioned look – but at the end of the session, when they feel lighter and brighter, and definitely by the next session by which time huge changes may have taken place , they just say, “Jude, it’s weird, but it works!”

The way I explain it to clients is this:

All of life and death is a cycle. When the physical body “dies”, the soul, or spirit, or essence, survives, and “goes home” – wherever that may be. After a period of rest, debriefing and defining the parameters, purpose and lessons of the life to come, that soul returns into a fresh incarnation, and the cycle begins all over again.

At the start of a new life, there are a couple of so-called “soft spots” or small holes in the skull of the baby, officially called fontanelle. These allow the bones of the skull to settle in after the pressure of being squeezed during birth. In spiritual terms, they are the “gateway” to that other dimension, where the soul came from -some say that there is a silver spiritual thread connecting the soul so that, in those early days, it can still move between the two worlds. As the hatches close, so the soul settles into a physical body. At the end of life, the hatches open again, easing travel between the dimensions and allowing the soul to prepare for its leaving. Indeed, sometimes when relatives visit older people in hospitals or care homes, they will comment that “he / she is not all here.” How true that is – the elderly person is already partly “there”! I like to say that the soul packs its suitcase, ready for a peaceful, gentle passing.

However, if the “death” is traumatic, and not planned at a soul level – a car crash perhaps, or a shooting – the soul has not had time to pack its suitcase, and is disoriented when it is forced to leave the body. Being pure energy, it looks around for another energy field on its own vibration or for one that appears to be warm and welcoming. We all have these energy fields, or auras, and with special cameras they can be photographed in all their glorious colour. So as the soul cannot find its way home, it finds another place to rest. The new host usually has no idea he or she is now carrying a passenger, and in most cases the incoming soul just curls up and goes to sleep. But sometimes it can makes its influence felt – and this is where issues arise.

I have clients saying things like, “I feel as though something’s come over me:” or “I don’t feel quite myself,” or “I want my old self back, please.” Perhaps they have noticed a marked change in their behaviour – irrational outbursts of anger or a sudden craving for a particular food; even an addiction. Identifying and helping those souls or spirit passengers to “go home” where they belong very often results in people saying they feel lighter, brighter and that “something has shifted”.

I always show these souls or spirit passengers the respect they are due, and handle them with love and compassion rather than with threats of punishment. It makes me very cross to see TV programmes where people treat lost souls with such disdain, there is no need for it and it shows a total lack of respect – just like circus animals – horrible.

This process has produced some wonderfully positive results, from the young lady who lost her craving for cakes and biscuits to the lady whose outbursts of anger vanished. Another young lady was astonished when she realised that the voices she had been hearing in her head turned out to be a group of spirit passengers who were particularly vocal, trying to persuade her to change her behaviours. And a young man in his mid-twenties with a serious gambling addiction turned up for his second session saying, “Since that first session (which included spirit release) I no longer feel the need to gamble.” Wow! Isn’t that a result and a half!

All in a day’s work …..

“Curing” obesity

There was an interesting article in my newspaper, the “i”, the other day. The headline read “Just eating less and exercising ‘won’t cure obesity’ “. That in itself made me smile – to me it is obvious, but the latest findings of an extensive study are clearly headline material!

The article quoted that reputable publication The Lancet. Experts from US universities agreed that, even after actively losing pounds, biological mechanisms kick in that make it extremely difficult for previously obese people to stay a healthy weight.

It went on to quote Dr Christoper Ochner, who is assistant professor of paediatrics and psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York. Dr Ochner said that, for those people with chronic obesity, “body weight seems to become biologically stamped-in and defended.”

He went on to say that few individuals ever truly recover from obesity, saying that rather they suffer from ‘obesity in remission’. “They are biologically very different from individuals of the same age, sex and body weight who were never obese.”

I think that is a really interesting phrase – “biologically stamped-in and defended” – and I agree. I would also agree that those who are obese (let’s say those who are holding on to excess weight) are very different from individuals who were never obese. And I suppose it is biological – but I would also suggest that there is more to it than that.

My own research and practical experience show that, frequently, there are very real underlying emotional reasons for people holding on to excess weight. It could be childhood abuse or bullying at school; it could be a broken relationship or even a pregnancy that was terminated. In all cases, the person concerned builds layers of protection or comfort – and no amount of eating less or exercising will shift that!

The approach I take is to uncover the real root causes: is it, perhaps, one of the reasons I mentioned above, or does it go back even further, to a past life? That is far more common that you would think. If someone has starved to death, and passed with the thought, “I’ll never go hungry again,” – that is a powerful statement to bring into the next life, albeit at an unconscious level. I have worked with several clients for whom that was exactly the scenario, and they find that they lose their obsessive craving for food when that past life trauma has been laid to rest. Or maybe there is a spirit passenger with a sweet tooth – that, too, is more common than most people think. Again, once the spirit passenger has been released, the craving for sweet foods seems to evaporate, allowing the person to change their eating habits.

And, of course, talking to that excess weight is very revealing – it knows what is role is, even if the person at a conscious level has forgotten or blocked out the root cause. Once we know exactly what the issue is, and have resolved that – at whatever level – then generally the excess weight is happy to go: its job is done, it is no longer needed.

So yes, body weight is “stamped-in and defended” – but not, I would suggest, in the way that the experts are stating. I would say that the “stamping-in” and “defending” is at a deep, unconscious level, and that it can be accessed and resolved, allowing people to let go of their excess weight and move on with their lives.
